This place is the bomb and Frank the waiter is the best. I have the teriyaki chicken combo and honest to God I could not finish it all and then they brought me a side soup and there is enough here for like three people very common for this area. Can't say enough good things about it

From the second you enter Made in Kitchen, Jim is exceptionally welcoming with phenomenal recommendations on drinks and choices for dinner. Suddenly, the warm atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The mixologist creates a plethora of delightful tastes for your thirsty pallet based on your mood for the evening. Sit down at the bar for a great view of the sleek, modern bar and numerous TVs for whatever sport selection you want. We spent the better half of the night chatting with the ever friendly manager Jim, and had a really great time. It’s in a sweet location with a nice view of the Fault Line Park. For dinner, we got the delicious appetizer giant salt and pepper wings to start and finished with the incredible braised beef rice dish, it was so good! Highly recommend and will be back on the reg. P.S. If Jim’s there ask for the Stazi cocktail and the off menu edamame beef rice dish or for a recommendation, kid knows what he’s talking about!

Excellent quick and easy asian fusion. I got the California Bowl and enjoyed every bite of it. Chicken, garlic kale, avocado, honey ginger vinaigrette with a few extras thrown in. This place is right near the Grove, so check it out if you are in he area.

We've been in San Diego a whopping 2 weeks after living in Japan for a few years. And we were craving bento-style food and gyoza. We decided to take a risk at Made in Kitchen and we're not disappointed. This is the first place in SD we've been where the gyoza/dumpling was cooked to perfection. Crispy on one side and perfectly steamed on the other. The staff was very friendly and the owner personally checked on us and ensured the quality of the food was to our liking. Naji was our bartender and is a master at his craft. He is not your common "shaker" bartender. This man is a master mixologist. 11/10 would recommend!!

Absolutely sensational food, every damn time and amazing cocktails from the cute bearded bartender! Such friendly and fun service with an always revolving upbeat playlist. Good TV viewing for games and has a sweet view of the fault line park. The guy in charge Jim is great for recommending drinks/food based on your mood and is very down to earth and hilarious. Overall, this place is a good time for everyone! Favorite dishes on the menu are the tempura cauliflower, pineapple fried rice, all shrimp dishes and I dont personally eat meat but everyone raves about the S&P wings and the secret menu steak/edamame rice. Cocktails are all delicious with a great seasoned bartender, particular good ones include mai tai (as pictured), blue Hawaiian, and my friend loved the golden state rush! Ask for a green tea shot from Jim, so good. Will be repeat customers for sure !

So, I've been here multiple times and I absolutely love some of their dishes. Their pineapple fried rice is served in a half a pineapple and tastes delicious. The braised beef combo is so wonderfully infused with chili peppers that it just comes alive in your mouth. The sides can be... interesting, but they are worth it for the novelty alone.
